A Visit With a Friend

While we were in our friends' Dan & Mandy's part of town, we stopped by for a quick playdate. Their daughter, Quinn, is only 5 days younger than Daryl."Hi Quinn, do you want to play with me?"
"Let's hold hands, Daryl."
"Okay, fine."
Best Friends
"Why is everyone staring at us?"

"I must taste good, because she's sucking on my elbow!"

Picnic Time

We had a picnic with my mom's "man-friend" Al's family. There was lots of yummy food and at a beautiful park!

Everyone socializing

Al's sons and daughter-in-law with my mom, Kinsey, Amy & Trevor

The kids playing together - Preslee was trying to hug & kiss everyone!

Preslee made a make-shift bed out of soft cooler.

Trevor & Preslee chasing each other.

Tyler's 17th Birthday!

Our "little" nephew, Tyler, celebrated his 17th birthday! We can't believe how old he's gotten!

"Woah, this is awesome!" -opening our present.
Our present to Tyler - a framed memory of the guys' golf outing. Tyler had a score of 93 on a par 35 course! Poor Ty.

Daddy playing with Daryl

Aubrey, Jason, Gavin & Teagan enjoying some pool time.

"Oooooo...it's cold!"

Our niece, Kaitlin.

Brave Teagan - "Cannon Ball!"

"I'm getting tired, Mommy. Swimming takes a lot out of me."

Aubrey's turn to jump in!

The stare down.

"Is it time to sing Happy Birthday?"

Nana was having too much fun and fell out of her chair!

Not everyone can handle a good party!

A Day in The Life of Daryl

Daddy is so fun to play with!

I am now bigger than my cousin, Kinsey - even though she's 1 month older!

"It's like looking in my mirror, except I can pull the ear and put my hand in the mouth!"

"I'm getting very interested in food, and it makes me drool a lot!"

"I love my play gym!"

"Look at me sittin' up by myself!"

"I can even stand up in my saucer!"

"Do I have to share my toys, Mommy?"

Cousin Preslee still thinks she's a baby!

"Cousin Trevor makes me laugh!"

"Daddy, you're too big to play in here!"

" I like sitting at the table with Mommy and Daddy and playing with my toys!"

"This is my new favorite toy that Mommy bought for me at the JBF sale for $9!"

"Fixed the Newel Post!"

Last fall a big part of our fence in the backyard blew over in a windstorm, and now Matt finally got around to fixing it! Once again, I'm very lucky to have such a "Handy-man" husband!

Bracing the posts while the concrete sets.
Making sure things are even and level.

Matt's make-shift work area (I bought him the saw stand for Christmas - it came in very handy!)

Our nephew, Trevor, was the apprentice!

Then Matt even fixed our gate because it was crooked and sagging on the ground.

Daryl & I gave Daddy moral support from under our umbrella.

"I can't wait until I'm old enough to be Daddy's apprentice!"

The finished product! Good job, Sweetie!

Daryl's First Twins Game!

Daryl went to his first Twins vs. Brewers game while Matt's family was in town from Wisconsin! It was a very close game, and we had a lot of fun! Daryl's favorite part was actually walking back to the car while riding in the Bjorn carrier - he loved staring up at the big tall buildings!

All cute supporting our team!
Daryl's Great Grandma Bernice & Nana

Matt's aunt, Nancy, and Gavin.

Adorable Aubrey & Beautiful Melanie

Matt's weird uncle, Mark - eating ice cream from a twins hat!?

Matt's aunt, Janine & Teagan (& TY)

Ty, Ang & Ryan

Cute cousins!

Sara napping Daryl - it's hard to nap when people cheer!

After the 8th inning, Twins were winning 7 to 4. Grandma wasn't so happy:(

Then all of a sudden the Brewers got 4 runs in the 9th inning and won 8 to 7! Now Grandma's a happy camper!
