We've Finished Most of the Drywall!

Matt & Matt: Drywalling Maniacs!
Hello! from the egress window in the bedroom.
The bathroom with cement board around the shower/tub.
The finished living room! Looks quite cozy, huh?

Matt's Workshop

Finally we have one room complete: Matt's Workshop! We've organized his tools on the peg board and put everything in it's own place so we won't be frantically looking for tools anymore. This should make future work in the basement a lot easier!

Cutting the drywall
Tryouts for Mime school (Matt got a little dusty). We had Kacie, her husband, Eric, and Matt's dad, Jerry helping us with drywall today. The girls talked too much as usual, but we all had fun!

We've Finished Insulation!

Despite the fact that we had insulation in our eyes and lungs, insulating was very fun! It changed the whole look in the basement, made it way quieter, and very hot! We will be professionals by the time we're done.

We're Finished With Electrical!

The basement before lights
After lights! We've been working in the dark so long, this is so nice to finally have overhead lighting! It looks so beautiful (even though it's very messy still).
"I never want to see another wire again! This is so insane!"

We're Finished With Electrical!

Before (Old box is on top, new box is below that)
After ( New wires were added to connect the old and new) Matt woked on this while the wires were LIVE because we don't have a main disconnect outside our house.
Matt cutting wires.
He had one slight setback when he cut his finger with the knife. Sara nearly fainted at the blood and panicked to get bandages, but it really wasn't that bad.

What a mess of wires!
